eSSENTIAL ACCESSIBILITY Crisis Centre

Message from the Associate Dean

We are proud of providing market-oriented engineering programs that are designed to equip you with the skills required in the evolving 21st century marketplace. Accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), graduates from any of our undergraduate programs meet the educational requirements for registration as a licensed professional engineer.

Our undergraduate programs provide you with opportunities to develop lifelong learning skills and gain hands-on engineering design experience, facilitated by our design co-chairs in the departments of Automotive, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (AMME) and Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering (ECSE).

You will develop design skills in your area of specialization with an emphasis on teamwork and professional communication. During your final year capstone courses, you will participate in multidisciplinary design projects. You will not only gain the required experience in your field of study, but develop a critical understanding of the team approach to problem solving skills.

If you are interested in pursuing a management career, you can choose our engineering and management programs, which are designed to develop key management skills in areas such as operation and project management, finance, human resources and managerial accounting. Graduates of these programs will have a broad understanding of business and will be ready to take on managerial roles or start their own business.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in optional co-op and internship work terms, to gain meaningful and paid engineering experience while exploring possible career options.

We are dedicated to providing you with outstanding services to support you on your educational journey. In addition to the designated faculty members who provide professional mentorship and guidance, a team of experienced academic advisors are available to provide front-line assistance to guide and help you. We also encourage you to participate in the student chapters of professional associations and other student clubs and organizations on campus.

I invite you to explore our website to learn about the faculty and the innovative programs we offer. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the faculty members.

Sincerely,

Hossam Kishawy, Ph.D., P.Eng.
